LIBRARY

A library is an important asset for any center of higher learning which provides services and facilities to meet the requirements of learning, teaching, research & development and consultancy programs. Hence, efforts are always directed towards creating a very rich library having all important National and International journals/ newspapers, encyclopedia and magazines. The aim of Library is to fulfill the crucial role of supporting learning and teaching activities to all members of the College. With a collection of close to 90,000 books in addition to thousands of journals and theses, our library is reckoned as one of the best in Lucknow. It has been our endeavor to provide both students and corporates with the best possible research material including the latest writings of management gurus, popular management texts, classical books on management and much more.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

National Service Scheme (NSS) was launched during the Mahatma Gandhi’s Centenary Year (1969) involving 40,000 student volunteers in 37 universities. Today, it has more than 3.6 million student volunteers spread over 351 universities and 42 (+2) Councils and implemented in 16,057 academic institutions. The aim of National Service Scheme is “Development of the Personality of Students through Community Service”. In order to fulfill the objective, student volunteers and programme functionaries are engaged in constructive and productive programmes involving students in various awareness drives, shramdaan, social reforms, communal harmony, creation of community assets, relief work, blood donation, environmental protection, literacy programme, health education campaign, etc. Under the scheme, each volunteer contributes 240 hours of community work during a period of two years. To recognize the voluntary service rendered by NSS volunteers, Programme Officers, NSS Units and the University NSS Cells, it has been proposed to provide suitable incentives/ awards under the scheme.

Career Counseling is a process that will help you to know and understand yourself and the world of work in order to make career, educational, and life decisions. Career development is more than just deciding on a major and what job you want to get when you graduate.

EXTRA CURRICULARS

A study conducted by surveying school-age students in the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health revealed that 70% of adolescents are involved in some form of extracurricular activities. Other studies have shown being involved in extracurricular activities reduces the likelihood of dropping out of school, likelihood of committing a criminal offense, and leads to higher educational retainment and success and achievements in school work, not to mention that the greatest advantage of participating in at least one of these activities is the decrease in anti-social behaviors and students growing up to be more successful in communication and relationships

Rovers & Rangers

“Service” is the motto of Rovers and Rangers. It functions as a part of an international organization as per the rules of scouting and guiding. The students having experience in scouting in school days with tender foot certificate can only join as Rovers or Rangers. Priority will be given to President Scouts and President Guides or Governor’s Scouts and Governor’s Guides to join as Rovers or Rangers respectively They can participate in State Camps, National Camps and International Camps if selected by Bharat Scouts and Guides Organization. The Principal is the ex-officio President and two members of the staff are nominated by him as Leader and Assistant Leader. Any student of the college may volunteer himself to be a Rover/Ranger subject to the approval of the Rover leader. The crew is bound by the General Rules of Scouting.
